13 Things You Don't Know About Women by Felicity Huffman

1. It's not really the shoes it's how they make our legs look.
2. Women also fantasize during sex.
3. And sometimes those fantasies are about shoes.
4. If you want to see us naked more often, turn up the damn thermostat.
5. A big dick is a bore if its attached to a big dick.
6. We can pee standing up, but it's not pretty.
7. We can't hear a word you say if there are hairs coming out of your nose.
8. If you would just listen to us, we'd shut up.
9. Want sex? Fix something.
10. Women want empathy, not advice.
11. It's still a man's world, and some of it you can keep.
12. You would be crazy, too, if your insides fell out every 28 days.
13. Some handy translations for men.
"You're working too hard." = "You're not spending enough time with me."
"No presents for my birthday." = "Suprise me."
"What are you thinking about?" = "Do you still love me?"
"Do you want to talk about it?" = "I want to talk about it."
"Fuck you. I can't stand you." = "Fuck you. I can't stand you."

not sure what to tell ya. this could potentially make no sense. i was frustrated when i wrote it.

I recently (1-07-06) went on a date with a boy named Jeremy. Who was, in every sense of the word, delightful when i met him: sweet, witty, intelligent, cute, charming, blah blah blah. The only downside was that he spent nearly 20 min convincing me that i should go out with him and i gave in. Personally, dates bother me because i never know what to expect....and if things take a turn for the worst, i have no way out. Jeremy explained to me that not all dates can be bad and that he happens to be an "expert". Too bad "expert" stated he had been on MANY A DATE. Perhaps i expected from his "date hyping," that i would actually have fun.

He picked me up so we could catch a movie. I really wanted to see Munich because i heard great things. Chit chat in the car was nice....normal convo stuff about family, school, hobbies, what not. We discussed my need for honesty in any relationship because i've dealt with a lot of lying/cheating in the past. At the ticket window, i pay for myself. Now, on most occasions this really would not bother me. I don't think men should pay for everything. However, he persuaded me to go on the date with him in the first place. He could have at least offered. We talked in the theatre before the movie started and things made a turn for the worse. Right before the movie began he leaned over and asked, "you didn't want to see this because eric bana's in it, right? because that would be stupid." Ok total insult. Sure bana's hot, but WHY WHY WHY would i go see a movie based on the fact that a hot dudes in it? Pretty much every movie out there has one or two hot guys. You don't see me going to Chronicles of Narnia cause that centaur's got a hot ass. But whatev....he probs was trying to be cute or something. Moving on. As the movie progressed i kept hearing exaggerated sighs after comments made by the actors or snorts during dramatic scenes coming from Jeremy. I happened to be enjoying the movie and it started to bother me and a few of the people around us. When the movie ended we headed back to his car to figure out were we'd go to chat. I asked if he wanted starbucks cause i was freezing and it was the only place i knew was open after 11 (its open 24 hours). Jeremy's response was, "i would never go to a place that supports such corporate greed and slave labor. starbucks is a virus infecting today's young society." Ummmmm ok...... king soopers? At least i can get some cocoa without feeling bad about the young african cocoa bean workers slaving for 20 hours a day on a penny a week. They had shut down the machine for the night. damn. so instead of getting angry, i asked him what he thought of the movie because i had enjoyed it. i felt it presented a great portrayal of how wrongs can not be undone and how vengance can consume you. Jeremy disagreed. He HATED the movie. "why do directors find it necessary to talk about the problems in other countries? who cares about cultural disputes that don't involve the US?" Wow. Cool, i respect his opinion. But he just didn't know how to accept that i enjoyed the movie. He spent the next 10 min lecturing me....yes you heard right......about how i should appreciate where i live and support our political system. Ok if anything i do not like to be talked at and treated as if i was stupid. I just liked the movie, at no time did i say the US was a terrible place or that our political system was defective. In most cases i am an optimistic person, this date could not get any worse. Once he made it back to my place he actually asked me, "you want to invite me in so we can make out?" Clearly when i said i wanted honesty he took it quite literally. My response was NO. He told me he respected my decision and he ended it with "i hope that changed your mind on dating, some guys just don't know how to treat a lady" I was lost for words. I thought about saying lots of things. Many involving him being obtuse, extremely dense, close minded, self involved, pushy, and tactless. But the only thing that came out of my mouth was, "go to hell." and the date was over. the end.
